Henry Dwyer Racing – Monday preview

Kyneton

Race 1 – Dancethenightaway

Jockey – John Allen

1469m – Barrier 1

Henry Dwyer’s Highland Reel filly Dancethenightaway begins her racetrack career at Kyneton this afternoon. The three-year-old has been seen several times at the jumpouts, most recently winning her heat at Ararat when given a solid hit-out. A half-sister to stablemate Nightstick, this three-year-old will improve from today’s run and show her best form over further ground. That said, her debut assignment is a suitable starting point and she is a good chance to run into the prizemoney in a small field of runners. John Allen rides from gate one but will likely drift back with cover and ask his mount to hit the line strongly in the short straight. Of the chances, Barefoot Tora and Kildrummie come through the same race and the market has identified them as the main two hopes. Pepin Dove was okay first-up before racing flat last start, conceding she’s a chance on the fresh effort.

From the trainer:

She’s a nice enough staying filly.

She’ll need a bit more ground to show her best.

Currently, Dancethenightaway is a $5 chance in the market.
