The HDR stable has two runner today in KINTSUGI BELLE and FRIDAY AT FIVE at Cranbourne.
Cranbourne – Heavy(9)
As at Tuesday morning, Cranbourne was rated a Heavy 9, and with cold and drizzly conditions prevailing it’s hard to see it being anything other than significantly rain affected. Fit horses who handle the ground are going to be to the fore. (Form Analyst Matt Welsh)
Race 2 (1:00 pm) Hygain Maiden Plate 2080m
No.9 KINTSUGI BELLE – Blaike McDougall (Barrier 2)
KINTSUGI BELLE (2) heads to Cranbourne on Wednesday where she will contest a 2080m Maiden (Race 2, 1.00pm). She has drawn gate two and Blaike McDougall will ride.
KINTSUGI BELLE went straight to the mile first up at Bendigo and I thought she ran super, working home strongly from the tail after being snagged back to last from a wide draw. That was a fairly moderately run race largely dominated up on speed so her closing effort was meritorious. She had jumped-out quite well leading into that fresh run, signaling she was back in good order. The step to 2080m looks ideal, provided she has the fitness base to run it out on the testing conditions. She looks a strong winning chance. (Form Analyst Matt Welsh)
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $4 (as at 11am)
Race 4 (2:00 pm) Gendore 3YO BM64 Handicap 1600m
No.7 FRIDAY AT FIVE – Mitch Aitken (Barrier 9)
FRIDAY AT FIVE (9) heads to Cranbourne on Wednesday where she will contest a 1600m BM64 (Race 4, 2:00pm). She has drawn gate nine and Mitch Aitken will ride.
FRIDAY AT FIVE steps out today on heavy ground at Cranbourne, Following her win at Warrnambool two back we know she can handle the going well and should be suited in this contest. She hasn’t done a lot since her last run at Sandown where she overraced and was less than impressive. Mitch Aitken jumps back onboard this filly who he has a strong affinity with and with this she should be there abouts (Stable)
TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $9 (as at 11am)
