Morpurgo steps out today in what will be his grand final this preparation. Every run leading up has been planned to have him peaking for the VRC St Leger today. He was disappointing last start at Caufield, which raised concerns today about how he will perform but the team still remain confident and are looking forward to this contest. The big expanses on Flemington should suit the long striding Morpurgo with the wide long home turn and then long straight, there should be every opportunity for him to be winding into it and hitting the line strong over the extended trip.
