MARTHA LAVINIA (5) heads to Echuca on Sunday where she’ll contest a 1200m Maiden (Race 2, 1:45 pm). Shae has drawn gate five and Mitch Aitken will ride.
MARTHA LAVINIA heads to Echuca off the back of three jumpouts prior to this run. Mitch Aitken will ride, he has a strong affinity with this filly doing all her work and jumputs this preparation. This looks a decent race here with the favourite being the main danger but with luck MARTHA LAVINIA can finally break her maiden.

No.11 SUAGRPIEHONEYBUNCH – Damian Thornton (Barrier 11)
SUGARPIEHONEYBUNCH (11) heads to Terang on Sunday where she will contest a 1400m Maiden (Race 3, 2.35pm. She has drawn gate eleven and Damien Thornton will ride.
SUGARPIRHONEYBUNCH comes up as the early favourite on the back of placing in three of her four starts to date. She comes out of some reasonable rating maidens and given she is now four starts into the campaign the step from 1000m to 1400m doesn’t look insurmountable. Given the step in trip and fact she comes out of some reasonably fast run shorter course races I suspect she will have the toe to come across from gate eleven and race right on pace, especially with some of the key speed influences drawn outside her. She has had a strong starting price profile in all four starts to date and this is arguably the easiest contest she has contested.
