No.4 SUGARPIEHONEYBUNCH – Blaike McDougall (Barrier 6)
SUGARPIEHONEYBUNCH (6) heads to Bendigo where she’ll contest a 1350m Maiden (Race 2, 1.55pm). The four-year-old mare has drawn gate six and Blaike McDougall takes the ride.
SUGARPIEHONEYBUNCH resumes here after an extended break following her debut second at Bendigo on December 12th, where she looked the winner at the 200m mark before being run down on the line. Since that run the daughter of Rich Enuff has been freshened up at the St Leonards stables before coming back up to Ballarat looking a picture of fitness ready to kick off this preparation. The team is happy where she is at and looks forward to seeing what she can deliver today.

No.6 PAPER DRAGON – Mitch Aitken (Barrier 5)
PAPER DRAGON (5) heads to Ararat on Sunday where she’ll contest a 1100m 0-58 (Race 5, 4:05pm). She has drawn gate five and Mitch Aitken takes the ride.
PAPER DRAGON comes into this off the back of a last start fifth at Yarra Valley where the three-year-old filly was hampered for clear running room when caught in behind the speed throughout the run. PAPER DRAGON will look to settle in the lead or at worse just outside the leaders and the team is extremely confident.
