Henry Dwyer Racing – Saturday Preview

The Henry Dwyer Racing stable has four runners today in IRISH BUTTERFLY running at Flemington, KASAMI running at Murray Bridge, MEDIA EMPRESS and UNDER OATH running at Burrumbeet.

Flemington – Good (4)

Race 6 (1:10pm)  George Watson Handicap 2000m

No.1 IRISH BUTTERFLY – Josh Richards a(3) (Barrier 3)

IRISH BUTTERFLY (3) heads to Flemington on Saturday where he will contest a 2000m BM70 (Race 6, 1.10pm). He has drawn gate three and Josh Richards will ride.

Cover is something that IRISH BUTTERFLY should enjoy from gate three – he should get a lovely, soft run in behind the speed. IRISH BUTTERFLY’S two runs this campaign have been outstanding, slashing home from the tail to run a strong second on Ballarat Cup Day before running very well here at Flemington against stronger opposition at the 1800m last start. He now looks ideally suited to the 2000m and dropping in grade with a handy claim for a promising apprentice in Josh Richards. From gate three, it’d be great to see him at least as forward as he was last start, maybe even right on the back of the speed, which will enhance his winning chances as so often his racing pattern has been the biggest downfall. The added positive for IRISH BUTTERFLY heading into Saturday’s race is he comes out of two fast-tempo races which should bode well for then step to 2000m now. This looks an ideal race for IRISH BUTTERFLY.(Form comments Matt Welsh)

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $5 (as at 8am)

Murray Bridge – Good (4)

Race 3 (1:57pm) TAB Maiden Plate 1000m

No.6 KASAMI – Dom Tourneur (Barrier 1)

KASAMI (1) heads to Murray Bridge on Saturday where she will contest a 1000m Maiden Race 3 (1:57pm). She has drawn gate one and Dom Tourneur will ride.

KASAMI resumes here after racing wide when never a chance at Ararat first-up. She has come through the run well and has been ticking all the boxes at home. She will be fitter for that run and should lead from gate 1 allowing her to hit the line strong and certainly a chance of winning a city rated race.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $5 (as at 8am)

Burrumbeet- Good (4)

Race 3 (2:07pm) T.B. White & Sons Maiden Plate  1350m

No. 8 MEDIA EMPRESS – Zoe Lloyd (a3) (Barrier 1)

MEDIA EMPRESS (1) heads to Burrumbeet on Saturday where she will contest a 1350m Maiden Race 3 (2:07pm). She has drawn gate one and Zoe Lloyd will ride.

MEDIA EMPRESS resumes at Burrumbeet today,in which they have split the 1350m maidan into two races. We believe she has fallen in the weaker of the two which is a great result for her. She certainly the class horse of the field and with any improvement on the last run, soshe should be very convincing in the run.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $3.80 (as at 8am)

Burrumbeet- Good (4)

Race 8 (5: 22 pm) Burrumbeet Cup 1800m

No. 8 UNDER OATH – Melissa Julius (Barrier 5)

UNDER OATH (5) heads to Burrumbeet on Saturday where he will contest the 1800m Burrumbet Cup Race 8 (5:22pm). He has drawn gate one and Melissa Julius will ride.

UNDER OATH resumes at Burrumbeet today, ran well when caught wide last start and tired late on the run but will be better for it coming into this. He comes up against his old nemesis court deep who beat us home in the Penshurst Cup two starts ago. If he can settle in the first four through the run, the stable thinks he will be a good show.

TAB WIN Fixed Odds – $8 (as at 8am)
